  Corrective Care vs. Palliative Care

  1. There are two fundamental approaches to Chiropractic Care. Both serve a purpose. At Family First Chiropractic we specialize in Corrective Chiropractic Care.

  2. Corrective Chiropractic Care recognizes the objective standards of health and function of the spine and nerve system. We do not only address your crisis or health challenge, but seek the cause and correct it. (Symptoms alert the body of a health issue, and typically only occur once the problem has evolved over time.)

  3. Palliative Care only addresses the symptoms a patient experiences around the true problem.

  4. Corrective Chiropractic Care practitioners seek to return the spine and nervous system to an OPTIMAL LEVEL OF HEALTH AND FUNCTION. This highly specialized approach to chiropractic begins with a careful assessment of your spinal structure, nerve system function and the overall health and well-being of your body. A specific series of tests and examinations, including all necessary x-rays, allows the doctor to identify precisely the cause of your lowered state of health. This information is used to determine the exact course of care needed to correct the cause in the most effective and efficient manner. The objective of the corrective care chiropractor is to return your body to an optimal state of health and not simply treat the symptoms of your problem.

  5. As with exercise, good nutrition and all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, chiropractic care will then protect your spine and nerve system and maintain your new level of health.
